This tower is a symbol of France and Paris. It was built in iron by designer Gustave Eiffel in 1889. year. On the top of the tower is a restaurant. On the first level of Eiffel Tower is located famous Le 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant with delicious and tasty French meals. I recommend you to make restaurant reservation couple weeks before arrival.

Le Jules Vernes is a restaurant located on the second level of Eiffel Tower. This is also restaurant with traditional French meals. This restaurant has great list of high quality wines. It can be such unforgettable romantic experience if you decided to go there with your partner.

Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre Dame Cathedral is magnificent and impressive Catholic cathedral built in famous Gothic style. This is the largest cathedral in the world and it is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Construction of this building started 1163 and finished 1345. Surface area of cathedral is 4,800 m² and height is 96m. Notre Dame Cathedral is visited by about 30,000 visitors every day.

No matter if you are religious or not, my sincere suggestion is that you have to see this majestic and stunning architecture. Entrance is free and that is one more reason for visiting this sight in Paris. You will be surprised how huge this building is inside and outside. Cathedral is open between 7:45 am and 6:45 pm and on Sunday 7:45 am and 7:30 pm.

Jardin du Luxembourg

It is the largest public park now. The garden was designed for Marie who became queen of the France. If you are irritated with city noise this is excellent place for you. This is calm and quiet place where you can be really relaxed. In this place you can see beautiful garden, picturesque statues and Medici fountain. You will enjoy in green trees and colorful flowers. As you can see on image below there are beautiful castle and ponds.

You can simply have a coffee in garden's cafe or you can sit on some available bench or chair in garden and eat your meal. Good place for picnic lunch. This is a such amazing sight in Paris and I have no enough words to precisely describe this beauty. You don't have to purchase ticket - entrance is free. You have to visit it.

The Louvre

The Louvre is the national museum of France. It is the most visited and the most famous museum in the world. The Louvre has impressive and huge collections of about 35,000 pieces of art. You can see tremendous collection of sculptures, paintings , historical artifacts. You probably learned in school some basic facts about Rembrandt , Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci. Their fabulous art masterpieces you can see in this museum. It's impossible to see every museum's masterpiece and my advice is that you can make a list of artworks which you want to see. Think about idea that you maybe prefer art from some specific age or style. This advices can help you.

Buy a ticket day before because this is good way how to avoid standing in the long lines. It is good to know that you can use service of audio guide and it can be very useful for the most of visitors. For the price of the ticket you will get much more than you expected. You will get a chance to see some spectacular and world's most famous masterpieces. Louvre is open : Monday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday Closed, Wednesday 9:00 am to 9:45 pm, Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am – 9:45 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Arc de Triomphe

Arc de Triomphe is the largest triumphal arch. That is symbol of patriotic France. Construction of Arc de Triomphe started 1806 and it is completely finished 1936. Arc de Triomphe is situated on Place Charles de Gaulle. Famous Paris avenue Champs-Élysées is nearby this building. Height of this magnificent monument is 50m, wide : 45m, deep : 22m. There are 242 stairs to the top of this building and you have to be sure that you are physically prepared for climbing spiral staircases. If you aren't ready for this kind of adventure, there are elevator in building. It's worth to climb up the stairs to the top because you will be amazed by wonderful view. The museum is located inside of the monument and you can find useful information about interesting history of this construction.

Opening hours : From 1 April to 30 September : 10 a.m. to 11 p.m and from October 1 to 31 March: 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Price of tickets - adults : 8 € , Students : 5 €. There is discount for groups and it is free for students and children up to 17 year old.
