Hofburg Imperial Palace

This winter palace housed well known royal Habsburg dynasty who ruled over Austro-Hungarian empire seven centuries. Hofsburg palace was built in beautiful baroque style. This magnificent and splendid Imperial palace was built in 13th century. This famous sight is visited by approximately 600,000 visitors per year. With this fact you can conclude how this sight in Vienna is popular. In these modern days Imperial palace is the residence and office of president of Austria. Opening hours of palace are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) was Empress of Austria, Queen of Hungary and wife of Emperor Franz Joseph. Giant Ferris wheel

This is for sure one of the oldest Ferris wheels in the whole world. This wheel is over 100 years old. During world war two it was destroyed. Height of this giant wheel is 64.75m. Ferris wheel in Vienna is a part of the well-known Prater amusement park. This Giant Ferris wheel became the most recognizable symbol and landmark of Vienna. St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom)

This is one of the most famous and the most interesting sights in Vienna. This Catholic cathedral is a symbol of Austrian identity and it is located in the center of the town. Cathedral was damaged during world war two and during Turkish siege 1683.

St. Stephen's Cathedral was constructed in Baroque and Romanesque architectural styles. Height of this building is 136.7m, width is 70m, length is 107m. Size of St. Stephen's Cathedral is breathtaking and impressive, outside and inside. It is highly recommended to every tourist in Vienna to visit this wonderful building.

Belvedere Palaces

This palace was constructed in Baroque and Rococo styles as a summer residence for the famous Prince Eugene of Savoy. This is really huge complex of massive and grandiose buildings (Lower Belvedere, Upper Belvedere, Palace Stables and the Orangery).

If you are a fan of artistic works you can see in Upper Belvedere (Museum), incredible beautiful paintings from Austrian symbolism painter Gustav Klimt and you can see paintings from figurative painter Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka. You can find paintings from famous French impressionists - Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Oscar-Claude Monet. There are paintings by Van Gogh. Museum has fantastic sculptures by Auguste Rodin. This is a such good place for those who love art.

In Lower Belvedere you can see Grotesque Hall, Marble Hall and Gallery, Golden Room, Staterooms, and Prince Eugene’s apartments.

From Upper Belvedere you will have nice view over garden and over Vienna city. Great panorama view. Opening hours : from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
